Reviews

The Goodshelf Project uses a thorough evaluation criterion to assess how well a library’s collection represents Islam, Muslims, and MENA communities in both quality and quantity. Using each library’s online catalog of books, our team assessed factors such as authenticity of authorship, diversity of topics, age representation, and recency of publications, while noting harmful reductionism or well-known Islamophobic authors.

As of July 2025, each library’s scores were converted into a five-star rating and are listed below for your reference. The ratings are updated with each evaluation of a library’s collection.
